Cleopatra VII, the last queen of Egypt. Her ancestors were primarily Greek, descended from one of Alexander the Great's generals. She was the only one in her ruling family to learn to speak and write in Egyptian. She could speak over seven languages and was very influential in the history of the Roman Empire under Julius Caesar and Octavian (later Augustus).
