Dealing with information from Web Pages:
Copy and paste information on to a Word Document – Halloween sources
- Copy title of web page and web address above information on the Word document
- Refer to the Word document when paraphrasing (rewording) the text to use in the PowerPoint. (Note site about plagiarism).
Pictures from Google:
- Use Google images (.jpg, .gif, or .bmp)
- Click on the picture until it’s isolated, then save it to your project folder or subfolders.
- Do not save an entire web page to your folder!
- You may right-click and save from a web page, but be sure to only save the image file.
Project organization:
- Create a project folder, i.e. Halloween PPT 2006
- Save all sound files in this folder—the same place as the PPT file.
- Create subfolders for each element of the project
- Origins, Personalities, Symbols, etc.
- Create a folder for graphics or put specific graphics in appropriate subfolders
